Note 1: Saving a configuration file to flash memory may disrupt traffic on the MP-1xx.

To avoid this, disable all traffic on the device before saving to flash memory.

Note 2: A device reset is required to activate a loaded CPT file.

on page 140.

5.9.5 Changing the MP-1xx Username and Password

To prevent unauthorized access to the MP-1xx, it is recommended that you change the username

and password (both are case-sensitive) that are used to access the Web Interface.

 To change the username and password, take these 5 steps:

1. Open the ‘Change Password’ screen (Advanced Configuration menu > Change

Password); the ‘Change Password’ screen is displayed.

2. In the ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ fields, enter the new username and the new password

respectively. Note that the username and password can be a maximum of 7 case-sensitive

characters.

3. In the ‘Confirm Password’ field, reenter the new password.

4. Click the Change Password button; the new username and password are applied and the

‘Enter Network Password’ screen appears, shown in Figure

5-1 on page 41.

5. Enter the updated username and password in the ‘Enter Network Password’ screen.
