4 Configuring AudioCodes E-SBC
This section shows how to configure AudioCodes' E-SBC for interworking between
Microsoft Lync Server 2013 and an ITSP's SIP Trunk:
E-SBC WAN interface: SIP Trunking environment
E-SBC LAN interface: Lync Server 2013 environment
Configure the E-SBC using the Web-based management interface (embedded Web
server).
Notes:
• The E-SBC must be installed with a Software Feature Key that includes the
following items:
√ Microsoft
√ SBC
√ Security
√ DSP
√ RTP
√ SIP
For more information about the Key, contact your AudioCodes
representative.
• The scope of this document does not cover security aspects of connecting
a SIP Trunk to the Microsoft Lync environment. Security measures should
be implemented in accordance with your organization’s security policies.
For basic security guidelines, see the Recommended Security Guidelines
Technical Note.
• The E-SBC must be installed with SIP firmware version 6.6 or later.
• Before beginning to configure the E-SBC, select the Full option in the Web
interface to display the full Navigation tree:
When the E-SBC is reset, the Web interface reverts to Basic display.
• This document applies to Microsoft Lync 2013 and to Microsoft Lync 2010.
